how do i convert my video file(computer) to dvd format so i can watch this movie on the tv?

i always googled and checked other help.com posts and downloaded a few converters that dont work so please i need help

If it is on MPEG-2 format you have not to convert it, just burn it on DVD.
If it’s an other format just convert it first to MPEG-2.

PAL is for pretty much everywhere but america, NTSC is mostly north america.

tried that but it wont play because its the wrong format
