WELL, when I took spanish 1, my teacher would tell us this old spanish myth called Le Luna.
It was about men who were in the armed forces stationed at this old abandoned warehouse in Mexico, and some of the men kept hearing things. Finally, one man started to see a ghost of a women. She would walk down to a river every night from the warehouse, screaming and crying and having a fit, then she would go into the river and act like she was searching for something, but she never found it so that’s why she came back every night; to look.
The men talked to some of the natives, who told them about the woman and why her ghost went to the river every night.
They said that when she was alive, she had a few small children and a new baby. She was unhappy with herself or her children or something, that part of the story I don’t remember.
One night, underneath the full moon, she took her children to the river and drowned them one by one. But then she was stricken with grief afterward and threw herself in, drowning herself.
Her ghost haunts the living, at least until she finds her children in the river, which no one ever did.

the end.
