the art of convosation

im not very good at meeting new people. i find it hard to find something to say. like a guy said ‘dont get squashed in there’ to me when i sqeezed between to cages at work and i just kinda laughed awkwardly. i dont know what to say to that.

and i find when i do try to make convosation with people i usually end up complaining about something. i just dont know what to say. how do i start a convosation?

I guess you mean conversation.

With new people just start with small talk:

Find something that interests you and ask someone else questions about it? ^^ Sharing things as well as asking for someone else’s take on things is useful.

For me, the hardest part is starting a conversation with a person I don’t know. Continuing conversations that are already started is a bit easier. But I normally start with a question for the person about something, and go from there.

For example, on plane flights, I ask the person next to me: “Are you on a trip for business or on a trip for a vacation? Or something else?”

I wiah there was an app that could just download this stuff directly into our brains :)

I hope you feel better tomorrow. If it reassures you, the guy you felt awkward with probably didn’t even notice.

Most of us are frequently suspended in awkwardness for a few moments on a regular basis. Then after you have these moments a few gazzillion times you realise it’s totally freaking normal and ‘Smile and Laugh!’ Smile and Laugh!’ .or maybe thats just me….? I don’t know agghhhh………..

Sorry, that wasn’t helpful…..oh umm…..
