‘i wish for the lion within me, to swallow the frog
in my throat, so that i may serenade you, in the perfect note, i know not how and i know not when, you may fall in love again, my only hope is to be with you, who knows that my love is true, i would give you my eyes, for i only have eyes for you, i would give you my heart, as it beats through you, i still do wish to sing you that ode, i only hope i dont grow to old, before i have the chance to say, you are in my heart each and every day’
there is a girl i like who lives on a completely different continent, she’s intelligent, caring, kind, fun, beautiful, and very very wonderful. however she is sceptical about any form of relationship between us, and i am absolutely in love with her… hence i wrote the poem above… if you are female reading this, would you go on a date with someone if they wrote you this, and if you are male, are there any other things i can try to do to convince her?
