okay, this is a very stupid question.

So i was watching the 2012 Olympic opening ceremony and the commentators mentioned that when the athletes march out, Greece is always first because they are the ones that created the Olympics in the first place. (something like that, at least.) Also, they mentioned that the host country always goes last. Now here’s my question…I know that the Olympics was held in Athens in the year 2000, so when would the Greek team march? Would they march first or last? You see, i was only about 4 years old when that happened so i really have no clue. Can someone explain how Greece handled that back then? XD

I just went to find the 2004 Athens opening ceremony video and they had someone carry out a Greek flag to begin with and then they had the Greek flag with the athletes go last.
