I feel like a cynical hellcat.
It’s just one of those days when others completely get on my nerves with the exception of good thinkers (like those on Help) or close friends who don’t make stupid decisions. I’m reading this article on female toplessness in New York and how it is legal there as well as other places, and I’m thinking, do you really need to be topless? Does anyone need to be topless?! Maybe we should just become one giant nudist colony. Nothing against nudist colonies as I’m sure they’re perfectly lovely places, but I really don’t get the, “Oh men can do this? Women must do it as well!” How about no one does it. The point of both women and men being equal is not for women to simply become men, and it seems like some people are missing that. They miss how both groups have crappy limitations. I understand that in other countries such as Sweden, nudity in places such as commercials and billboards is commonplace, but we don’t have to be Europe! That’s just their culture, and neither theirs nor ours (United States, maybe not “ours” depending on where you’re from) is damaging with these limitations. They’re simply different. Some things just bother me. Do you have any opinions on this, feminism, appropriate dress, the breakfast you had this morning, or otherwise? Personally, I wish everyone wore nice, proper clothing when leaving the house when going to certain places and then have other places be rather casual, but nnnoooooooo that must mean I’m a small minded, prudish, conservative. I should make sure I don’t buy make-up, shave my pits, like anything submissive, or strive for any occupation other than activist or CEO, or I must be just bowing down the the patriarchal oppression that tries to consume my body and soul. It’s not like I actually like wearing skirts and corsets or anything, it’s all about how men want me to see myself. Obviously, eh? Ugh.
*Note. Of course all feminists don’t think this way. Most don’t and try to be productive pursuers of equality.
Oh, and who cares of some people have their sign for Satanism be an inverted cross. It really hardly matter’s if it’s also ****. Peter’s cross; have you not heard of the same symbol have dual meanings when the early users of the symbol hardly had the other symbolism in mind. I mean really. Come one now.
