start help: I need to save my home. - Help.com

I need to save my home.

I purchased this home to care for my parents ages 82 and 97. They have both since passed and I am without a place to live due to foreclosure. I was unable to work because I had to care for them. Mother was confined to bed with advances Alzheimers and Dad was a heart patient. I struggled alone for eight years with them, with no assistance from my three sisters. Dad gave me a home in trust, by removing my sisters. He said he wanted me to have someplace to live and have a new start when he passed. My sisters sued me for the property and now I have nothing. In 2005 I waas solvent witha great job, I purchased a home for my parents, and purchased a new car. Now I am in foreclousre with nothing. I owe $32,000. Can’t find a job. I need HELP!!!

Find a top notch attorney and counter-sue the living hell out of your sisters.

Get this attorney to stop foreclosure. You might be able to do that by declaring bankruptcy.

See an attorney NOW. Don’t worry about not being able to pay off people. You’ve paid them off many times over through exorbitant interest rates.

Act now!

The legal principle of promissory estoppel may apply if your parents didn’t name you in the will, or if they died intestate (without a will).

It means that you relied on their promise to provide you with a home to your detriment. It’s enforceable in a court of law.

you may also try getting in touch with your local occupy network. There have been some successful actions helping people under the threat of foreclosure to keep their homes. http://occupyourhomes.org/
