Recently reinstalled windows 7 on an HP Pavilion laptop.

The network devices and drivers didn’t…and when trying to install or update devices etc. the computer wants a disk..
This computer when bought new-did not come with any utility or restore disk of any kind.
The computer I speak of belongs to a friend .
They can’t get on the internet. And what I wish to
know is “How to go about fixing this problem?”
Any ideas would be a blessing. Thank You ~ Ali

so Windows 7 is working but you need to install drivers for the network devices?

if this is the case and you don’t have disks with the drivers, I think you can download the drivers if you find out the make of the devices. using the windows update facility doesn’t always find the drivers, you may have to search yourself, have you done this?

nice and simple :)

1 - get the model number off the laptop (should be a sticker on it somewhere)

2 - go here http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-driv…

3 - use that number from step on to look up the computer

4 - download the drivers

5 - copy them to a flash drive or other way to copy them from your comp to the laptop

6 - install them

7 - check it connects to the interwebs

8 - give computer back to friend fixed

9 - enjoy freinds company :D

Good luck!

Also, you can add in a step at 8.5 - get friend to bake you cookies/ply you with alchol as a thank you.

This will however mean that step 9 needs to be amended to “Enjoy friends company while drinking alchol/eating cookies” however…
