Just wondering the response I’d get for saying this.

I’m a bisexual pagan. What’s your opinion?

Well, I can sum it up, if you don’t believe in [Insert One True Religion] then you are [Insert Insulting Term] and will be [Insert Threat] unless you pay us [Insert Money Amount] in which case everything will be okay.

But, like the image of “The Devil” in that tarot deck really is kind of spooky looking but is supposed to be Pan, a nature deity, in the very obvious role as the devil to Christians. Same look, most likely copied like Christianity took over Easter and other paganish celebrations.

:) *respect to the above comment* yeah I’m going to a Yule meal in December :)
and haha, I find some of the extreme religious peoples comments funny, sometimes its good to just sit back and have an argument with a couple, for the laughs :)

Well, you have a positive attitude, at least the past couple of days, so you’d be fun to talk to. Some people get so serious about arguing about these things. I want to show them how what we’re talking about could really be the lightness, the goodness, what is high and great about life, but you can’t demonstrate that in a conversation that is all deathly serious gravity and hatred.

Nonsense.

Hazel_LeSquirrel,
What exactly do you wish for us to say?
If you truly chose to be a bisexual pagan then my opinion is that you truly explore those lifestyles completely.
My opinion is that it wont satisfy you.
Even if it is 99% all that you imagined, that last 1% will haunt you.
You will be empty inside and that which you seek will slip between your fingers.
Fulfillment will be fleeting just beyond your reach.
Is it because I hate paganism? No, i love my pagan friends.
Is it because I hate those with a gay/lesbian lifestyle? of course not. I live in southern california and personally know many individuals that claim to be gay/lesbian.

Please listen to my words.
Ok?
If you choose to be a bisexual pagan then go for it. But it will be a fleeting fulfillment at best.

If you follow Jesus Christ and live according to His teachings, He himself will give you living water. And when you drink of that living water, you will never thirst again.

Anything in this life that you try to quench your thirst in this life you will thirst again, guaranteed.
Seek Jesus while you are young. When you are older chances are your heart will be harder.

@Hazel: Although I practically despise all religions (not the individuals themselves mind you), I can at least say that Paganism was around long before many of the main religions are. If you were hoping to bait some typical Christian response to this you’ve got it now. Bit really, it’s your gods/goddesses vs. their god and it’s all stupid at the end of the day.

I might as well troll my friend’s toddler by saying goblins are better than fairies.

Hehe
It wasnt Hazel_LeSquirrels post that brought me here.
It was mindhealers inaccurate portrayal of christians which I elected to correct.
Not because i was “baited” to come.

Doesn’t matter what your original intentions where on coming to this post. You responded to the question posed by the OP with your religiois perspective which is what she was looking for.

She dangled the bait, you took it.

And that quote, no matter how many times you post it, just makes you seem holier than thou rather than insightful. If that’s what you’re going for you’ve got it nailed. If it’s not perhaps you should change your tune and arrive at a quote that isn’t so unecessarily condescending.

You gave him a one word response and Hazel a speech to digest. I don’t know who you’re trying to fool, buy you’ll have to try much harder with me.

Whatever Minerva.
I responded to Mindhealer with my quotes.
And as a courtesy I gave my opinion to the OP since that is what she asked for.?

But my initial response was in reply to mindhealer.
Why does it matter to you anyway.
My words to the OP were not judgemental.
And you are trying to make it more than it is.

Perhaps my words mean MORE to you than it does to the OP?
Perhaps you are the one they are directed to?

I dont need to “try” anything.
You can read the words yourself.
I didnt make them up as if it was by my personal effort or idea.

“Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again,
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

I didnt make this up.

Awh I’m sorry I missed this, and sorry Minerva and Roofdonkey for baiting an argument.
I am fullfiled with my life atm RoofDonkey :) there’s nothing wrong with my paganism, and like Minerva said earlier about my gods/gogesses vs yours, thats the way this would end. Personally I believe that you have the right to believe whatever you want, whether i believe in it and agree with it, or not. But I won’t try to preach my paganism to you, your faith is your choice, :)
But i’d like to put one comment to you - some people (not necassarily me) of other faiths find it insulting to hear the whole “your life isnt full, turn to jesus” speech. I won’t try to say your life is **** and that you should turn to the mother goddess, because you’d be insulted and feel like i was saying “my religion is better than yours” which i honestly dont believe. its just different :)
But thank you everyone who commented :)

Very well then. As you wish.
True love is an amusing term. It implies there is such a thing as fake love, meaningless love. Yet no one can seem to put their finger on what that is ^^

To me true love, is when you find someone that you dont argue with much, you get on well, its easy to love them, you are truely compatible, like you were meant to be together. I know it’s silly, and cheesy, but i know couples like that. And I’ve had relationships in the past that were not easy, we loved eachotehr, but it jsut wasnt meant to be.
And okay, I wanted to see some different opinions, to debate stuff, but i dont want to offend anyone.

Nah, it’s neither silly nor cheesy. It’s nice. I consider it a desirable thing to have romantic love and love as for a friend combined, and that’s what that sounds like. The love I respect most though, is love a person has for someone who hates them, and who is not easy to love. It’s like the Gift of the Magi by William Porter, where a person sacrifices everything they have for someone they care about; but, unlike in that story, for someone who hates them.
Easier said than done. Even if a person had the best intentions in the world, they would still offend someone. People have so many different perspectives and sensitivities. But I get what you mean. ^^
