life help: My 2 favorite sayings. - Help.com

My 2 favorite sayings.

1:
My teacher gave me a project about what i want to be when i’m older, so i put happy. She told me i didnt understand the assignment, i told her she didnt understand life.

2:
Dear optimists, pessimists, and realists,
While you were busy arguing about the glass of water, i drank it.
Sincerely,
an opportunist.

Now, my 2 questions.
1:
Would you rather grow up to be happy or rich?

2: what are your 2 favorite sayings?

Happy

I love you.

“Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark. In the hopeless swamps of the not quite, the not yet, and the not at all, do not let the hero in your soul perish and leave only frustration for the life you deserved, but never have been able to reach. The world you desire can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours.”

It was really hard to pick which sayings.

“However unwillingly a person who has a strong opinion may admit the possibility that his opinion may be false, he ought to be moved by the consideration that however true it may be, if it is not fully, frequently, and fearlessly discussed, it will be held as a dead dogma, not a living truth. “
-John Stuart Mill, On Liberty

“The very idea of an individual who might become aware of himself, and then only subsequently, or at least independently, determine what importance others have for him and what he will accept as good, belongs to post-Cartesian, foundationalist fantasy.” -Charles Taylor, Two Theories of Modernity

Happy.

Now that i have seen your responces, what has happened to the american dream? It used to be that you could come to america to follow your dream and be happy, but now they teach you to play it safe. Everyone has said happ over rich, so whats wrong with following your dream? What is your dream? Mine are to design games for a living while writing books on the side (both risky jobs) and to follow my elementary school dream, you know, the dream you had when you though everything was possable? Mine was to run a zoo. What was yours?

Happy! “Already been rich and was not happy” Now I’m broke and very Happy…and I’m still growing! And still choose Happy!

To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are!
(My father gave me a poster that said this when I was 14)

I owe ya one more! So busy being happy have to stop and think of another one!
