Got into the college I wanted — but not the major.

I got into the college that I wanted to, however they didn’t put me into the major I wanted. Instead, I’ve been placed as “undeclared”.

Will I (generally) be able to just switch majors into what I wanted to do as soon as I am a student there? Or are they actually able to reject me?

It is easy to change majors while you are a student. Most students start as undeclared anyway, so the process is really simple. Start following the course guide classes for the major you want, and change it as soon as the university allows. Congrats on getting in!

When I got accepted into the college of my desire I changed my major twice. Perhaps you can try talking to someone in the admission’s office and see if you cannot get your major changed.

It’s not a problem. You should be working on your required courses in the meantime, anyway!
