I dyed my hair last night using petroleum jelly as a protectant.

Now there’s a bunch of residue in my hair that I can’t get out. Does anyone have any experiences similar and can provide a solution?

Degreaser!

No really i´m not sure what to do here. I have some wax with such stuff in it. It was hell to get out. I used some industrial scrub and washed my hair three times with that. A couple of rounds with shampoo after. Took me 4 days to get it out with the same routine. I´m not doing that again for sure.
