Feeling dumb and embarrassed in front of my ex boyfriend.

Its been a year since he left me for another girl; well 2 days ago our dog was sick so he showed up with medicine, food and he even payed a debt I had on the vet. Then he came to what used to be our house and spotted the kitchen all dirty. And now I just checked the name on the door (I glued a paper with the name of the dog over his name) and wind blew it away or something because its not there anymore… to his eyes I still have our names on the door.

Im also still single after a year and hes still with the girl he left me for. So he saw Im poor, with a dirty house, our names still on the door and still single……I feel so sad and pathetic and I want to cry.

well then cry… and then get over it. if you’re happy living this way(assuming it’s a healthy place for your pet) it doesn’t matter what others(even your ex) says or thinks. if you’re NOT happy, well no one’s stopping you from changing.

I am NOT happy. I want to be in a relationship but I am emotionally damaged after the break up and I cant connect with anyone, even when there are several guys around.

Kitchen is a mess, I am a mess, Ive always been and probably will be like that. This problem is only taken care of when I hire a cleaning lady but I have no money right now.

Oh and I have no money because I changed jobs (to something I really like) and I am between payments. And the hanging thing on the door wasnt my fault, still bothers me he thinks I still want to keep his name on the door.

Some things are hard to change and I really cant.

with that attitude, i’m not surprised… perhaps talk with a counselor/shrink(etc) about your emotional damage. if not, unfortunately this happens a lot and most ppl tend to deal with it eventually. as far as cleaning, regardless whether you have the $$ to hire a cleaning person i believe everyone should be capable of cleaning up after themselves. not sure i get the name on the door issue, other than it can’t be undone and feeling embarrassed about it is not going to help anything. congrats on the job btw!
