im not a christian, im not a religious man, but it seems that with religion there is so much grey area, the lines are totally blurred. So I say to u that however u want to ‘pray’ and express yourself in religion do it. If thats what u believe and makes u feel comfortable then do it.

:) It’s only relevant for a hindu interested in worshipping the god of the bible (who can handle her voice.)

I don’t want to offend anyone and I am going to be told off but that video offering reminded me of the hippy era. I like the original song.

How will a Hindu love Jesus? Jesus hates the Hindu gods because they are false. In fact, Jesus said in His Ten Commandments to not have any other gods before Him. And He states that He hates idols. So now, if you are constantly doing what Jesus hates, how is that loving Him? If I constantly did what you clearly stated that you hated, would I or could I be loving you?

Jesus said, “If you love me then keep my commandments. And the very first commandment is to NOT have any other gods before Him.

Religion should be more about the individual than a society of people. You should be able to love whoever you want to and choose your own set of beliefs. I know little about Hinduism, but I know that a person should be able to express what they feel to be true in their own heart, despite the opinions of others.

You cannot love Jesus if you accept the existence of a multitude of gods. Jesus is part of the Holy Trinity, or God in Three Persons. The Trinity is ONE God, however. You cannot place Jesus in a pantheon of gods and say that you love him, because He is not one of many, but the One and Only. That is the Christian belief, and what we believe came from Jesus and His Apostles.

Adding Jesus to the pantheon of Hindu gods is an example of syncretism–the blending of different religions into one.

Where Christianity is concerned, that just doesn’t work.

I am a christian.
and I have always been afraid to call myself one.

Why? Because every christian I know isn’t perfect. Because christianity is a religion full of people who give it a bad name and don’t even try to live the lifestyle.
I didn’t want to just be another hypocrite.

I was afraid to call myself one because I’m the farthest thing from perfect, so why would I want to go around saying that I was christian when people couldn’t tell from looking? It’s scary to mess up and give people the wrong impression because if they think “oh, she’s a christian and she believes in God but she does this and she did that so that’s how legitimate christianity is!”
I know it’s stupid to care about what other people think, but you must take that into consideration. You need to realize that you make an impression on people and if you’re representing the love of God then you need to act right.

honestly..I feel that christianity, real christianity, is the closest thing religion we can chose that leads to a real relationship with God and a godly life.
When you actually take the time to break christianity down as a religion instead of look at the people trying to portray it, you would see that it’s all about the greater concept of loving one another, and above all, loving God, who created you.

but He gave us free will, the best and worst gift of all, so you can chose to do whatever you please. like take my words into consideration, or slug them away at the sight of the words “God” and “religion” and whatnot.
But I know that inside each person that ever lived, there was some kind of craving or interest in the subject of God. and that some people disregard it, some people reject it, some people bluntly ignore it, and others accept the interest and pursue it.

Jesus also had plenty of awesome wisdom that has nothing to do with worshiping God and everything to do with being a good person. isn’t that stuff a lot more important than whether or not someone is practicing in the exact same way as you?

it makes no difference to me what name you use to call out to God or whether you believe in God at all. but it does make a huge difference to me if you’re spreading hate and division instead of compassion and understanding.

everything is a choice, you can do whatever you please. Love God, not love God, believe in him, not believe in him.
I think it makes a difference to God, though. I could be wrong though.

“You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

“Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.

So the dude with the 6 hands is also able to walk on water - right?
And the dude who can walk on water is also able to talk directly to God - right?
but the dude who can talk directly to God is no diffrent than any of us - right?

There is no difference between religous factions in concept.
The only difference is between people who belive in higher powers or not.
Most people traverse between those diffrences more than once in a life time.

There’s HUGE differences between the world’s religions.

If you think they’re all the same, you haven’t really studied them.

What’s more, God is not going to fit into any “box” constructed by humans: not any theology box, not any philosophy box, not any scientific box.

And if you think Jesus was just another guy, or another prophet, or another rabbi or teacher . . . then you do not understand Who the Son of God is. And if you refuse to acknowledge Him for Who He is, you cannot love Him.
