What is behind your name here on Help.com

Everyone has a story as to what their screen name here means and I thought it would be kind of fun to share:

Mine is kinda simple the nola stands for New Orlean’s LA nola where I currently live. And Teri is my name….!

What is behind your name?

Used to be crystalblindness… which was short for a quote ‘You think you’re seeing crystal clear but all you are is blindness’
I set it up because at the time I had messed up quite spectacularly and not realised it so I felt like it applied to me.
Then I didn’t wanna change the name completely when I didn’t think the quote fit anymore and changed it to ‘crystals and sand’ but it looks more like crystal sand sand. Which I kinda like better cause it’s a bit nonsensical.

I had twin same with the first repliers, and it was fun. I was “crystalvision” to balance “crystalblindness” and then Morgan and I were both PresidentSomething, which was great. Then I had a “healer” name like the Dr.
And my new name just blew in from outerspace and I put it on.

Each year there are plenty of new users, and new stories about names. Also: these posts are often about conversation not about clinical answers.

Sooo I say live and let post.

I think I might have mistyped something. Not a split personality, more of a translucent one. So, it’s easier to say how I’m like others. Like “crystalvision” I was “crystalblindness”. Then like “president aweseome” I was “president mindhealer”. Then like “Dr. Jackson” I was “mind *healer*”. Then I got a new name which was just sitting there unrelated to anything yet. I’ll say that it’s that because I love life.

I like Giselle for a little girl, I think those kinds of names are just too pretty.

My name is kind of weird. It’s like a half phrase, run on sentence kind of statement. It means nothing. I was making a new email and it was the first thing that came into my head. And when I made my account here after I got locked out of my first, it automatically used my email as my username.

Well I don’t know why anyone would make fun of this name if you gave it to your daughter. I think it is a very beautiful name and if your cat can bare the name so should your daughter! People usually make fun of things only because they are jealous!

Yes we are very aware of that! And I still want to know what you did with my cat!!!

As a matter of fact!

When I was on the Verge of losing my cat you were chasing _____________on stage and all you left behind was a box! An empty one at that! With no Cat!

Oh Verge! Please just tell me where she is at?

Please Please Please

You don’t remember me taking her back home? She was a little worse for the wear, but still monstrously orange :)

Will I already love it! I have the most wonderful funniest craziest dog and her name is Bella….she is spunky-adorable-cute and I swear hands down has a split personality!

One minute she is so cute and sweet…then the next she looks like she is a shark and ready to attack!

I would not give her up for anyone….so I do love the name Bella!

Thanks Rosabella for sharing the meaning of your name and how you choosed it!

That was because I was previously “Puck You” and when I was being modded I was told I had to change my name. So when I was talking to a friend I asked what he was up to and he said listening to “Daft Punk” I read it as “Daft Puck” and so I then decided that would be my new username.

Well, my name is Willy, and that’s what my moniker was.. plus, I had the rather archaic habit of signing off my posts with ..Willy. Had a bunch of wags sharing the same tired thoughts and making the same worn out comments regarding my ‘Willy’. Thus in order to set their little minds at ease, I decided to let ‘em see my BigWilly! right off the bat. I’m also still anglin’ for that torrid internet romance and, well, a bit of advertising never hurts.

okei! wrote:
okei! would be my own very version of okay! =)

“Okay” (also spelled “OK”, “O.K.”) is a colloquial English word denoting approval, acceptance, agreement, assent, or acknowledgment. “Okay” has frequently turned up as a loanword in many other languages.

As an adjective, “okay” means “adequate,” “acceptable” (”this is okay to send out”), “mediocre” often in contrast to “good” (”the food was okay”); it also functions as an adverb in this sense. As an interjection, it can denote compliance (”Okay, I will do that”), or agreement (”Okay, that’s good”). As a verb and noun it means “assent” (”The boss okayed the purchase,” and, “The boss gave his okay to the purchase.”) A versatile discourse marker (or back-channeling item), it can also be used with appropriate voice tone to show doubt or to seek confirmation (”Okaay?” or “Is that okay?”).
