oh wow…I run in the morning and then in the evening too…I cannot imagine running without stretching first…I hadn’t heard that it is bad though….:O
And Siren is right…stretch and warm up is VITAL to a safe run…If no warm up you are guranteed to get the leg cramps during your run…

The key is to gradually warm up. Stretching has been shown to be overdone. But if you exercise within 2 hrs of bedtime, you won’t go to sleep easily!

Very true about the sleep…thats why I run like 4 hours before bed…and then cooling down with reading and great classical music…:)

I used to stretch like the dickens before running. Now I just warm up a little. All of that stretching was eating up time for exercising!

I don’t miss all of that stretching at all!

Some runners believe that should stretch out before running. They believe that the exercise of running, the injury is prevented. But scientific studies have also confirmed a belief? The answer is negative.New studies show that stretching before running, no positive or negative impact on the injury or is no avoiding it. They strictly follow this pattern to athletes who had recommended that to alter their plans.
