computer help: hard drive question. - Help.com

hard drive question.

so i built this computer, but i didn’t have a hardrive so i ended up using an old 20 gig out of my old pc.
i installed xp on it and now i’m running out of space. first of all, how can i copy my OS to another drive?
second, will xp recognize a SATA hard drive as the one thats in it is IDE.

you can copy your files using Symantec Ghost.
idk if its free or not but check piratebay.

and as long as you have the chipset drivers installed, XP will run on a SATA drive

Anytime, with the original installation CD.

Probably yes, if it has approximately the same size.
