Too old for the army? I didn’t know that was possible O.o
Your heart’s not in anything at all? That’s a tricky thing. It’s a vicious cycle between: lack of good friends –> lack of motivation –> lack of job –> lack of good friends, etc.
Because often one causes the next. So if you can get one of them down, the rest should probably follow.

Any ways you could look into hobbies or interests to see what you are motivated to do?
And/or any ways that you could meet people and deepen the friendships you have?
And/or any way you can just look around and find a decent looking job, stick at it for a while, and then start to enjoy it later?

Being immature doesn’t last long in the army. They’d be whipped into shape, and you’d have the advantage in the meantime. But it’s up to you. I personally don’t like the army much.
Eh, still in the prime of your youth =) However, it’s never too early to get a career anyways. But you’d have to look around and find one you enjoy.

I can never understand why anyone would choose a job where you kill
people for money.(army)

Patriotism, to protect other people, for the money, etc.

If the world did not have dangerous people in it who tried to cause horrible atrocities, I might not understand it either. But there are.

Can you explain to me how invading Iraq and killing 1 million people
makes the world a better place?

That’s completely a political issue, is limited to one country’s army, and is irrelevant to why people serve in the army in general =)

Furthermore, soldiers do not declare war. Congress does. At least for the United States that’s the case, if I remember right.

For some reason many Americans think that their government rules
their lives. But I am suggesting if no one joins the army and kills people
for money and oil then the Congress sure won’t go an do it.
The people need to believe the head of the UN which said invading Iraq is illegal.

Thanks for asking this question. There are a lot of ways to think about answers, but what I just did was a websearch on “choose career”. And as I browsed links, I started opening up pages about “career tests” and “career paths” and “career keys” and “career guidance.” This is really fruitful, there are a lot of great resources out there that might be able to help make progress on this issue.

ok first off this isnt a political post. i would join the army to protect my country and queen but also to be a dog handler which is my dream, to work in customs and excise. not to kill people. im a woman, i wouldnt be on the front line anyway.

its still what i want i just feel too old to do it now.

im not really good at anything i dont think, i like dogs and animals. i suppose i could do something to do with the environment, conservation, or volcanology, something like that, but it requires degrees and its not really possible right now.
