Ok so I am on a worship team.

One team member tries to write music, and it tend to be kinda bad…He has written a new song and wants us to perform it. It is not good at all. He’s asked us if we think we should perform it. How do I tell him we shouldn’t without being mean?

Tell him no you don’t think you should perform it. Let him know that you don’t really like it and maybe you all can get together and throw some ideas around.

Pull him aside gently and explain how good songs go to heaven to be played on harps by angels, but bad songs go to hell to be tortured by heavy metal cover bands for eternity.
