RAM problems!

Hey guys I just got a new PC with 3.06 GHz and 448 Ram . Problem is It is 448 RAM while there is a 4 GB Video card in it. The Pc for some reason can`t dtect the card. Any ideas? Do i need video card drivers or something? ( PLS give me information do not send me to other sites

what motherboard are you using?
it may have a limit on the type of card it will see.
also if you have a legacy OS it might not have support for pci express.

The PC isn`t rigged up at the momment, because i don`t have a spare monitor and barely can work with that low RAM. I don`t know the Motherboard, but I can tell you that this PC was my uncle`s and hasn`t been used for 4-5 years and the video card worked back then.

I think the drivers are pretty low version of what they should be right now, but I can`t understand why isn`t it dtecting the video card

well the bios should see it whether the os does or not.
but windows 2k/xp doesn’t have native support for pci express
