Lasik

I want to have laser eye surgery but to be honest I’m terrified :D I can’t stand anyone “playing” with my eye. In fact I utterly failed at wearing contacts because I can’t stand my finger near my eye! Another thing, is it safe? Or do you get complications afterwards? I always have this phobia that it might not work! or in the long run it might affect my vision badly. I feel that people who did Lasik also get weird eye- shape. In other words, I feel that their eyes become protruding a bit - I don’t know how to put it, like the circular shape of the eye ball becomes more pronounced. I am also -8 or more, so I don’t know if I will be forced to wear glasses after all :(

So what do you guys think? Any one who’s been through Lasik, can you please help me?
