i am a worried mother for my son who is using facebook

and there is a problem, somebody created another fb acc under his name also used his pic , all the information is for my son. Lelethu Lethu Mgoqi is the one that we are aware of, bt Lelethu Ledza Mgoqi is the one that was created on the 6th of August 2012. Please assist us.

Try messaging them first and try to figure out who this person is and why they are doing this. This sounds like some sort of identity theft and could be a crime.

If they don’t respond, I would go into your local police station and see if they can do anything about it. I would say contact Facebook, but they might just delete the account and sweep it under the rug, ignoring the possible identity theft that could be happening. The police, however, may just tell you to contact Facebook, depending on who you talk to.

Also, make sure your son’s privacy settings are up-to-date, so just friends can view his information.
