Wrong help: I recently bought an Olloclip for my iPhone 4s and I took off the fisheye lens (which is the wrong side). - Help.com

I recently bought an Olloclip for my iPhone 4s and I took off the fisheye lens (which is the wrong side).

All the lenses fell apart and I have no clue how to put them back together. If you were to be kind enough and help me out on how to put it together again, i would be so pleased. Thanks for your time. xoxo.

Maybe you’ll find more answers there:

Because I don’t understand exactly what your REAL problem is.

Just did the same thing. When you unscrew the fisheye part like 5 pieces come out and i have no idea how they go back together either.

The order for reassembling the fisheye lens components is the double-convex lens without a frame first, the black ring spacer - flat side first, followed by the curved surface of the lens in a black ring holder, then the larger lens with the outer large radius curve (fisheye) outward - followed by the threaded retaining ring. If you have placed the components properly, the third component lies almost flush with the floor of the chamber. The larger final lens fills its space and does not protrude above the rim. If they are all seated properly there is no wiggling or clicking when you shake the whole apparatus at the end of reassembly and images seen through the iPhone lens with the fisheye in place are sharply in focus.

This is for all those, who like me made the mistake of unscrewing the fisheye lens retaining ring by mistake.

Cleaning all the components carefully to remove fingerprints after picking them up off the floor where they scattered after their escape is a chore, but worth the effort. The components proved hardy and reassembled with ease once the order was solved. There is no documentation available or easily found elsewhere on the web for this simple procedure.

This worked only after I put the black ring spacer with the flat side out instead. Otherwise it rattled when assembled. Thanks so much for this. I bet this has happened to many of us!
