Help!

So I am really embarrassed but here it goes. I’m 16 and female. Today after dinner I suddenly had a loss of bladder control followed by brief left side pain which subsided to lower back tenderness. What is going on

SYMPTOMS:
-lower back irritation
- left side pains
-tiredness
-sudden loss of bladder control (once)
-frequent urination
*no painful urination or discolouration
*no fever

No idea . . . except it’s something that a doctor MUST see about! Something is not right–that’s all I know!

I don’t know, but you should see your doctor in the AM instead of asking for information here.

To help easy your mind (you still need to talk to your doctor) it may be as little as bad menstral cramps.

(you should see your doctor in the AM)

When it comes to menstral cycles “a couple of days” means nothing; country to popular belief, menstral cycles aren’t always regular.

That lower back pain was probably your kidneys which, when they have a problem, can cause loss of bladder control. Please go see a doctor as soon as possible, love.

Some health insurance carriers offer a 24 hour help line staffed by qualified nurses capable of evaluating the emergency level of your situation. If you have that resource at your disposal I suggest calling immediately and getting a professional opinion on whether you should head directly to the emergency room tonight. If not, I would call your local emergency room and ask the triage nurse, emergency room staff prefer that non emergency situations be relegated to next day urgent care or work week PCP visits, so they will not urge you to come unless it’s critical. Either way, please contact a professional tonight!
