1. Does God do evil?
2. Why did Lucifer “betray” God?
3. Was there a fight between Lucifer and God, and if so, how did it end?

Because if people cant answer these 3 questions they dont know the foundation of christianity, therefore arent real chistains.

If you google “comprehension” and study many of the pages it can help you make better sense of what you read.

One question: WHO appointed YOU to act as the arbiter of who is a Christian and who is not?

And what kind of “arbiter” would be unable to even spell the name of what he is judging?

So you hit some hard times and are coping by making fun of people online? There is too much hostility in this post for it to be taken seriously.

A hard life doesn’t qualify you to be a judge, either. If you want to convince others to become Christians, they must be able to see the Holy Spirit at work within you. Judging won’t get it.

Its like looking at a coin. You can tell a lot about it from looking at it from one side, but you cant know everything until you turn it over. That is what these questions do. Make you start to see the other sideof the coin. It bothers me that people will stop after only looking at half of well, anything

But you can’t tell us that if we flip a coin and it doesn’t come up “heads” that we aren’t real Christians.

Hope you can see that!

Just like you, everyone else is trying to manuever through life. The point of christianity is not perfection or who is more “knowledgeable”, it is a faith based religion. Some people know squat about the religion itself but believe in God and are faithful and that still works. The religion itself is subjective, different people take it on in different ways and from different perspectives.

3. Partially correct. Lucifer was one of the few angels that knew love, so when he was fighting once God sent the one Lucifer loved to the battlefield to fight him, which Lucifer than surrendered and was sent to hell.

No, i am a christain. Im just not stupid. Question, have you read the bible? There is a nice part of it called the book of Revolations. Its the last book in the bible, and it talks about the future. The antichrist, hell, demons taking the world over, and the second coming of Jesus. Or maybeyou should read the rest of the bible real closely.

You must also read the books they kept out of the bible, and certain scrolls about christianity. It never mentions his ego in the bible, but the restis mentioned in other nonbiblical books (thank you catholics for keeping them out) and some scrolls.

And to say that God does evil is to commit the unpardonable sin:

In Matthew 12:31-32, Jesus says to the Pharisees,

“Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come” (NKJV, emphasis added).

Do you really think you can be a Christian while saying that God is evil? You need to go back to the Bible and some commentaries. You have completely misunderstood the nature of God.

#1 God cannot deny Himself. He cannot contradict Himself.
“This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5

#2 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.” Isaiah 14:12-15

PRIDE

#3 Lucifer is a created being. God is THE creator.
Lucifer is not the opposite of God.
Lucifer was his name BEFORE he was cast out of heaven.
His name changed to “Satan” AFTER.

Jesus said in Luke 10:18 “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”

There was no “fight” between Lucifer/Satan and God. Thats ludicrous.
Lucifer/Satan is absolutely no match for God. He has to have God’s permission to do anything at all when God has put His hedge of protection on a person. (Job 1-2, Matthew 8:31, Luke 22:31-32)

Michael the archangel is the one that actually fights with Satan. (Revelation 12)
He is the one that casts Satan out of heaven and ultimately into the Lake of fire.

Yes, there is a hell.

WHAT is Hell?
WHAT is Death?

Hell is denial of God.
Death is separation from God.

“Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:14-15

I have found it is a waste of time, energy, and effort to try to convert or debate your version of religion on Help.com, Why?
Because there are so many here on Help.com who know far, far more about the bible and religion, all religions, which is one of the things I love about Help.com.

1. Is God evil?
no, because he doesn’t exist. But if you suspend disbelief and look at his actions…
take just the flood as one example, I see him murdering the entire population, even the babies. evil.
Or that nice guy that the devil tricked god into killing his family to prove a point.

Evil.

2. Lucifer. I don’t know that one actually, I did read the book as a kid, but that bit didn’t stick. Probably because every story needs a bad guy. What the book say on that one?

3. My take on the fight is that it’s a the metaphoric for the fight for the human soul. Free will and collapse of society, or the voluntary giving up of some free will to join the tribe.

wow you ask these questions then you act like as if you know when you know nothing. im pretty sure your wrong. ive been raised as a christian even though i really dont want to be, so im pritty sure your wrong. if you want to be able to “judge” people then ask these questions of your nearest pastor and then use those answers.

so in atttampt to correct you:

1. he does not do evil. good is good and perfect. if youve ever gone to church as a kid you would know the song that gos “god is good for the bible tells me so”
2. ok ill admit i dont remember the answer to this one but im pretty sure your worng.
3. same thing as two

also may i point out these three questions have nothing to do with the foundation of chiristianity. if you wanted to judge people id say what answers you would be looking for is the “god died and was risin on the third day. he will come again to judge the living and the dead” kind of stuff. so the questions should be like: why did he die? what did he die for? and stuff like that.

Ok lets finish this argument.
OP: just because some people can’t answer these questions doesn’t mean anything. There is no human in this earth that knows everything. We are ALL still learning. I was born and raised in the church and I still learn things. Those questions are impossible to really answer because no matter how many people answer them there will always be someone to try to disprove the answers like you’ve done a few times. NO ONE has the right to test or question some ones faith. Not even a pastor. Whether we know the answers or not doesn’t mean anything. As long as we know our relationship with God, who cares if we don’t know all the answers.

Now quit arguing about it and just accept that no one knows all the answers and just SPREAD GODS WORD! NOT YOUR WORDS OF DISAGREEMENT AND ANGER OR WHATEVER THIS IS!

GOD BLESS!!!

1. Does God do evil?
2. Why did Lucifer “betray” God?
3. Was there a fight between Lucifer and God, and if so, how did it end?

1. Depends on how we define evil. By my definition of evil, this is impossible. I define evil as everything done that goes against God’s will. This is because God is the only being with a perfect moral compass and the only being with perfect wisdom and compassion who knows what is best for a person. When a person feels pain after touching a hot stove and that causes them to remove their hand it isn’t evil. When we exercise and grow stronger and so we feel soreness and a bit of pain that isn’t evil. Evil is not the same thing as something that feels unpleasant to us. Evil is a corruption that will harm us immensely in the end, but harm itself is not necessarily evil. The sweetest sounding lie that lures us away to our doom may not *feel* painful, harmful, or evil, yet it would be what I’d define as evil.
So does God ever cause pain? Yes, and for good reasons. Without such things in my life, I’d be dead right now. Does God cause evil? No, that is a contradiction of terms.
2. Pride and arrogance. He wanted to be like God. Just as humans first brought corruption and evil into their being when they desired to be like God knowing the difference of good from evil. Yet, unlike God, our consciences are too weak to have that information without abusing it.
3. Yes. During the war in heaven, 1/3 of the angels fought with Lucifer against Michael and the angels still loyal to God. The end result was Lucifer being cast out of heaven. It’s really quite sad. Lucifer was so much and he fell so far.

1. Yes as far as the biblical God goes

2. Ive heard two different versions of this. One said Lucifer wanted humans to not have free will and God did but another one said Lucifer wanted to be like a god himself. In the former its Lucifers bad and in the later its Gods bad.

3. God banished Lucifer from heaven becoming a fallen angel and Lucifer brought some followers with him. Lucifer is NOT Satan ive heard, like most Christians get mixed up on. Its a separate entity

So god was like an insecure father, and when his teenage son started to become a man and challenge him, he threw him out of the house. Lame.

Just to add a laugh

When my son was in his early teens, he told me he was going to worship Devil
I asked why he would worship Lucifer, he told me no not Lucifer, the Devil.
just thought i’d add some humor

I know it’s always welcome, i’ll keep trying :)
Happy smiles for all, off to church :)

“We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.
We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.” 1 John 5:18-20

People will only see what they want to see and hear what they want to hear.
May those that understand what this means understand. But people will continue to believe as they want to believe and do that which is right in their own eyes, instead of whats clearly written in God’s word.

1. He’ll decide for himself
2. A lot of people disagree on that one, it was either:
- Pride (mixed with stupidity of course)
- He didn’t, he just tests whether people are really loyal to God.
3. No. Instead he and ****. Michael would’ve fought and Lucifer still lost.

If your son ever tries to kill you and take over your house, I suppose you can try throwing him out of the house and see if that analogy fits well. ^^

Did he try and kill god? I thought it was just be equal.

And when boys grow to men, they should leave anyway. So maybe earth was like god buying his son a new house to live in, but then didn’t like what he did with the place ans sent his other son JC to change things. But jc got killed and everyone is still a bit worried about it

/shrug/ It wasn’t an important thing to mention ^^ The only explanation of his motivation was that he wanted to be like God. But he raised an army and tried to take over. So whatever he was trying to do, he started a war and caused a number of casualties.

As a traitor and as one who has since caused untold damage on the earth, his punishment was extremely merciful.
