Where were you?

How much do they differ and how?
i am not positive but i think he is an atheist
im not a strict religion but i do believe in God
Does it bother you? Does it matter?
It’s okay if it does, you do have the right to choose who you like for any reason, but if it doesn’t bother you or him, there shouldn’t be a problem. If it does bother you, maybe look for someone else.
I have two friends who are married to each other. One is a devout Christian; the other is an atheist.
She teaches a religion class at church. He attends in order to learn more about her faith. He even takes an active part.
It may not work for everyone, but it works for them. And, after each class, he’s a little bit less atheistic than before!
i don’t mind really but it would devastate my family…….there are a bunch of pastors and churchy people in my family and they would all be seriously distraught. i don’t know
The most important thing is that you love each other..Rest is on the god…

Atheism is not the hallmark of his character. And it shouldn’t be a deal-breaker either. As long as you’re willing to look past this part of his life that cannot harm you unless you allow it and try to see him as a human being who possesses the fundamental qualities that only a human could possess, you should have no problem accepting him into your life. Would it devastate your family? Perhaps it would. But are you going to forever be bound by your family’s prejudices and intolerance that you cannot ever make a decision without worrying about how its outcome will affect your family? You need to start making decisions based on what you feel is right and your level of tolerance, and not your family’s. Yes, you might pay a price for it by telling your family. They may not like it. But they don’t have to. They may forbid you to ever see this guy again. But you’re free to choose whomever you wish to see. They may even try to tell you how “ungodly” your decision is to be with this guy. But God doesn’t wish for any person to show intolerance. In the end, given this particular situation, you’re not looking to gain approval from those whose opinions do not necessarily matter. This is *your* decision and it will only affect *your* life. So I ask you to think very carefully about this before going any further.

Who cares!
Follow your hearth and gut feeling, and god (if there is any) will be with both of you!
