How can i help fix my brothers relationship with my dad?

It seems like everyday i sit here and listen to them fight. It seems like they don’t even like each other.
It makes me depressed. I usually tell my dad that he needs to do something about my brother, and all he said was that he tries his best to ignore him. But even though other articles say its a long and terrible phase, I’m not sure thats the case…any advice on what I should do? We can’t buy tharapy because I am 100% my dad would rather lick someones foot ^.^ lol

How old is your brother?
If he’s anywhere between 12-18 it is, rather unfortunately, a very long and arduous phase. Males generally don’t like other males in their area. It’s a sad but true fact. Also, if your brother is a teenager, living under your dad’s authority, there’s another issue. Your brother will be wanting to grow, express himself, and figure out who he is. He may also be wanting to be seen as more of an adult, and right now, he’s not. Not to your dad anyways. Your brother also isn’t seeing your dad as his dad right now either… He’s the “MAN,” the oppressor, the very epitome of a douche-bag, fuddy-duddy, or whatever the word of choice may be.

Usually, after men have grown up and have settled down hormonally and emotionally, their relationships tend to self-mend. There isn’t really anything you can do to “Fix” it. Only time and patience from everyone around them can. When both men are ready to start seeing each other on a mutual respect level, you can be the olive branch the reunites them, so to say, but like I said, right now, there’s no real “fix”.

Hope I could help.
