I’m writing a story and I want to know where a good place for this story to take place!

It has be an average sized town, not too small that there’s nothing to do, but not too big that everyone knows about everything going on out in the world. Someplace on the coast too! I’d like a town like rosewood in PLL or like a place in The Last Song! Please help!

I recommend doing some free writes. Just open a page and write for 15-20, don’t stop, don’t censor yourself, just go.

Just keep writing and don’t stop. Then you can start trimming, plotting, generating a coherent central theme, characters. Its hard. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you are going to just sit down and write a novel. It could take years of hard, hard work.
