I’m a single mom of two a 6 yr old and a special needs 2 yr old

I moved to GA cause a friend said they would help me with a better life well needless to say me and my children are living in my van. Every department I go to for help slams the door in my face. What makes it worse they are trying to kick my 6 yr old out of school since we don’t have a permanent address. I am employed . Anyone know of any associations or landlords that will take weekly instead of monthly payments in the north forsyth area. Im past desperate at this point I have no family and no friends. Any info on where to start looking would be greatly appreciated

Call the local Salvation Army. They usually have a long list of local support services, shelters, and other resources to help you out.

Where are you in Georgia? Where have you tried and received a not-so-welcome welcome?

Good news/bad news.
State and federally funded accessible housing. Must be applied for. Eligible applicants are put on a waiting list and notified when housing becomes available.
Waiting lists for this type of housing are 3-5 years minimum. Some of the positives - Housing is fully accessible, usually close to public transportation routes, close to shopping & other services, significantly lower (subsidized) rents.
