Why do I just give up?

At work, why do I just give up coming? And I would just be in bed. This happens twice. I am not suicidal, yet there are times I want to fade away for awhile. Leave this all for awhile. I used to roll with the punches. I used to have sheer, unwavering determination. But why won’t I have it now. I am getting old. And I somehow is getting tired. I have been trying so hard. I finished two degrees while working. And I was able to graduate, and kept my job. Now. Why do I just simply give up?

Possible depression. You don’t have to be suicidal to have depression, You don’t necessarily have to be sad.

Afro.

Skipping work is not helping you feel any better. Give yourself something to do, to keep yourself busy emotionally and intellectually. If work is making you depressed, take some time off and maybe look for a new job? Easier said than done, I understand. There are methods to getting over depression, but the results will only reflect the amount of effort you put into getting better.

You need to take professional advice. Don’t trust a personal diagnosis, only a professional should do that. A professional will assess you and determine the best form of therapy.
