Tooth infection!

I think I have an abscess infection from my tooth spread to my shoulder. How do I find out? My blood tests are clear but my lymph nodes in my neck are large and my shoulder looks inflamed. Would bloods detect it or should I ask my rheumatologist to be more thorough. My shoulder has been like this for 15 years, since I first had root canal done in the said tooth, that is now playing up again! Thanks.

I have believe me! I wouldn’t post on here first.
I’ve been to Maxiofacial consultants, rheumatologist and all my Gps!! They refuse to check it, but a dental specialist told me once to get it checked into. Still they won’t, telling me blood tests are enough.

I don’t believe them and want to know if this is true before I kick off about it!

it’s not true, you know your body better than anyone else and if it feels wrong then something must be. if i were you i’d keep going to doctor after doctor ’till someone had some kind of diagnosis.

So you think it could still be infected even if blood tests are clear too??

I’ve been chasing this up for a long time now and nobody will investigate it, said it doesn’t present like an infection, whatever that means!!! Bloody doctors!!

I would like an idea of what test/s I need to ask for. A little knowledge might help so they don’t fob me off so easy next time. Thanks.
