On average about how many calories should you burn

from exercise a day in order to be healthy.

It doesn’t really matter, because you could be burning calories without improving your overall fitness or strength. For example, you could stand outside in cold weather without clothing, burn thousands of calories, catch a cold, and be much less healthy.

Sorry that’s not an answer, but I think it is realistic to think about what is healthy in other ways, like people measure heartrate/lengthoftime for cardiovascular work, number of workouts and reps a week for strength training, things like that.
