My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 3 years..
We’ve had our struggles but I’ve noticed lately he doesn’t really like to go out and do things like we used to. Whenever I see him (which isn’t that often) we always have sex.. but I don’t think it’s out of love. He forgets important days, like our anniversary, date nights and runs off with friends. I feel neglected and used. Is it time for me to move on? Are we bored of each other?

Where were you?

it’s time you guys have an honest talk about this(and any other issues). if there’s a problem and he doesn’t realize(or vice versa) you can’t expect it to be fixed. if either party doesn’t want to fix it, at least you’ll know sooner than later.
Well . . . I’d say what do you expect of a guy who never talks to you about getting engaged or married?
Irresponsible guys don’t want to get married . . . and they don’t remember anniversary dates, either!
Noone here knows the ins and outs of this relationship. Do you feel that you have told him how you are feeling and given him the opportunity to buck up? Or could there be something else going on in his life?
Only you can know if the relationship has any potential.
I’ve talked to him about this.. he bucks up for about a week then returns to his old ways. I feel like I’ve given everything and he just takes advantage of it. He’s talked about marriage. I broke up with him for about a month but he insist that we be together. When we’re together tho, he shows little interest. Those little things that couples do for each other.. that make u feel special.. he doesn’t do
It may be that you just have different relationship ideals, he may simply not see those ‘little things’, you may just be more of a romantic. However, you are discontent in the relationship and have tried to make it work so it is probably time to let it go. It certainly is not a good idea to think about marriage while their are some doubts in your mind. You need to be strong and make a clean break, don’t go back to him. After all, you can’t expect to do the same thing and expect different results. It can be hard to let go of a relationship when we have invested time, energy and love, but sometimes it is for the best that we cut our losses and move on. If we settle in unfulfilling relationships we miss the great ones.
Play the game!! Boys like to chase girls. Its in their blood and they just like it for some reason. He makes you work around his schedule so make him work around yours now. Do not give him sex if you feel like this! Make him work for it and tease him. Don’t talk to him first or call him first, wait for him to talk to you. You should go run off with your friends. Tell him that you have plans when he does not. If he doesn’t come running to you within a few days I would talk to him about whats going on and think about moving on. You guys might not be right for each other or just need a little spark again! Try out the chasing game =)

i actually pretty much agree with this. obligatory sex without love or passion is boring sex! not really enjoying your time together habituates you to being bored around one another. have other interests in your life. he has friends, and you should too! a relationship is something you have to work for. if he’s not ready for that, then maybe it’s just not meant to be.
