I think if he’s your boss, you should possibly avoid being bothered by friendliness or non friendliness, and just try to stay professional.

Its hard to everyone keeps going on he’s such a lovely guy and he puts me on a spot with people so I have to respond if i dont it makes me look like a jerk but when i do i hate myself even more.

I’m very impressed that a pig has risen to the position of manager. Your company must be very progressive where livestock are concerned.
My boss loves him self so much he loves people to love him and constantly tell him how lovely he is you can visibley see him getting a buzz from it! But he’s so fake! he talks behind peples back a lot! And is very cliquish! Is that a word? Either you’re in his clique or your out and you can tell which one by the look he gives you, plus he manipulates everyone to see his way so you are the one that looks like a Jerk!

It’s a shame that companies and other organizations pick people like this for managers. They are often picked for their ability to screw over other people without having any twinges of conscience. They’re the ones who have no trouble giving out pink slips or railroading people so they can be fired.
There’s a difference between a manager and a leader. Civilian outfits invented the word “manager” because so many of them fail miserably as leaders!
