I’m so sad.
I wish I understood how life works. Now I just want to crawl into a tunnel and sleep for eternity.

I wish I understood how life works.
Basically, there is dark and light, death and life, ignorance and understanding. It is possible to at least remember times of greater life, greater understanding, greater enlightenment, and similarly it is possible to always be seeking that in the present and thereby transcending ignorance, death and darkness rather than futilely struggling with it. I cannot give you the knowledge directly that you most need but you can get it by always seeking the light, life, enlightenment, etc.
It sounds as though you are depressed, although I suspect you already knew that. I suffer from depression myself, and have felt the way that you do now. I don;t know how long you’ve felt like this, if you do in fact have depression, etc.
But, here are some tips that might assist in easing you out of feeling so down.
1) If it’s nice outside, go for a walk. Even a short one can help perk you up. Yes, I know that it’s probably one of the last things you would want to do when you feel like this, but it’s worth a shot.
2) Watch something that you really like. Personally, when I’m really down and just want to be left alone, I go into my room and watch something like Doctor Who or Only Fools and Horses. Something with a good story line and someone cute, lol!
3) If you can, find a calm spot where you can do some deep breathing exercises. It sounds kind of lame, but can do wonders.
4) If you have someone to just talk to, especially somebody who you can tell anything to, then take advantage of that fact.
5) Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids have been proven to help lift moods in most people.
If your funk persists, and you’ve not already done so, then I highly recommend making an appointment with a decent doctor. It sucks, but then again, so does being depressed.
I wish you luck, and feel better soon.
Well I’ve been working my butt off to get into medical school for 4 years and I still haven’t gotten in. My friend just made it in. I’m happy for her…she defintely worked hard to get it but I feel so lousy and useless. I’m stuck going to sonography school and doing master’s research and working just to get it all together. I feel like ****.
I went through 3 months of depression just trying to get my life back together to try again but I just can’t seem to do it. I’m falling apart. I want to scream and cry and bang my head against a wall until I’m gone.
I’m tired of struggling for everything and not seeing any fruits of my labor :(
I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve wanted to go to medical school myself, but can’t afford to. I’ve heard about how difficult it can be to get in, and it can take a long time. But, if this is something you are truly passionate about, then my advice is keep trying. I know you’re down in the dumps right now, and that you feel horrible. Just keep this in mind; just because you will be taking other schooling instead of what you really wanted to do, that you’ll have time for it later, should you choose to pursue that path. If you can’t go to medical school now, you have plenty of time later on. Don’t give up just yet. Things suck right now, but just wait and be patient. Somehow, things will work out. Just you wait and see. :)
You’ve got to relax and get rid of stress somehow. Physical exercise is a great way because it is still active so it doesn’t lead as directly into depression as many other recovery methods.
Yeah I’ve been exercising but I got into a car wreck on Monday and I’m in pain everywhere…I was running about 3-5 miles a week…but I don’t think that’s going to happen till I recover. Lol now that I think about it…sounds like I have some great luck.
It’s not really the depression that’s bothering me. I want to get into medical school, It’s my life’s ambition but now it seems impossible. That’s what’s bothering me more than anything.
Hopefully you have about a year to recover paid for by the other drivers insurance? If that is the case talk to your school and your loan company and they will make special arrangements for you to take some time if you want to travel or go home for a few weeks.
Without exercise stress is much more difficult to cope with and friends/family will be crucial.

Get well soon. Any pain can distort your thinking about other things.
