Wrong help: My friend stole from her place of work, and had been doing so for awhile. - Help.com

My friend stole from her place of work, and had been doing so for awhile.

At the moment I’m volunteering for a community program and I’m on an assistance program until I find work. My friend got caught and lost her job and has been coming to me for support. It makes me so angry, I’ve been trying to find work while she has an easy job that she mucked up. Is it wrong to be angry at her? Should I just let it go or say something to her?

Don’t waste your energy on anger, but don’t help her either. Yes, you can say something to her. It will make you feel better and might help her to get her head on straight too.

Employee theft in stores is much more costly for businesses than shoplifting!

Your friend is an idiot. It’s always wrong to steal, but to risk your livelihood for stealing in this economy is just plain stupid.
