Did I mess up?

I was talking to this girl on a dating website. We were sending messages back and fourth, so last nights message at the end I said this, “So, would you be interested in meeting at some point? It doesn’t have to be anything big, maybe meet at Penn Station for a bite to eat and get to know each other a little more :) Of course I’m not sure how far you live from Penn, but I think it could be fun.” She didn’t respond today, and with all past messages we each responded the next day, so I’m a bit concerned. Was it wrong that I said that?

Nope, sounds polite and professional to me. She might just have been busy. Give her some time.

i don’t see a problem, unless she’s already stated at some point that meeting in person wasn’t an option(or some other excuse); then i could it see it being pushy. If not however, i thought it was well put. How long have you been chatting? I personally like to meet up asap(lol).

Well, maybe 11 days about. I mean, I did ask for her number the other day and she gave it to me, that’s why I felt like it was okay to ask her if she wanted to meet. I wasn’t trying to be pushy, but we’ll see.

that was smooth! just give her some time, she might be nervous and is probably chatting with her friends about it and asking advice. it’s what we do.

Sure, no problem. Should I send her another message again if I don’t hear back. How long should I wait?

maybe she’s trying to decide what to say. i know this isn’t always polite, but when i don’t know what to say when someone sends me a message or an email, i take a day or two to respond. if somehow this did get messed up, it wasn’t anything you did. send another text in a day or two.
