I have this really really big problem.

And when i say big, i mean really big! I have this really scary feeling. Whenever i think of my parents dying, i just get really scared. If they do die, then i cant do anything with them anymore. Then i think back to all the good times that we had, vacations, and how they had loved me. I just want time to stop! I dont want to grow up and get a boyfriend and marry. I want to always stay by my parents side. Even when i think about it now, i want to cry

You need to remind yourself that these are just fantasy thoughts NOT reality. Your parents are alive and you are with them….. dont lose the joy of being with them today by worrying about possible situations down the road. Life is tough and throws many unexpected problems our way….but we cannot allow the possibility of those problems to ruin our joy today….. Go give them a hug and a smile and just enjoy them NOW>

when i think about this to i cry but to make your life better just think about why ppl die like the aneswer why do ppl die is To make life inportent if your parents never died your memories would not be inportent because you could always do them over again so when looking back on those meories it would be nothing because it could always happen again and you will see when ur parents do pass away that they will want you to rember them and let them live on in your heart so after life their is love and with that love come the memories and thats why ppl hav to die :(

If you can think of many good times already, just think how many more there will be. If you stopped time, you wouldn’t be able to add to that list.

Don’t worry just think about all your good memories theres always something good about having a parent, but don’t worry because u can always still be close with your parents but also can have your own life too…

Hi, I used to be just like you. I used to worry about my parents dying all the time, and I’m still a bit scared about being a grown up, even though technically I am one!! (I’m 21!)
It’s normal to have worries like this when you’re growing up- things around you start changing, and you start to realise that they will change in the future as well.
But you really need to be sensible about this. You know it will happen, and the thought is scary, but you also know that the chances are it won’t happen for a long long time. You have no control over the future, so there really is no point in worrying about it now- don’t let it spoil what you have in the present. Imagine getting a new pet: you know deep down that the pet will die in a few years time, but you don’t start worrying about it the day you bring it home! It’s important to enjoy what you have while you’ve got it.
A lot easier sid than done, I know, but eventually you’ll find there is only a limited amount of time you can worry about a hypothetical situations. Sooner or later you’re going to have to get on with your life.
Face your fears, maybe talk about it with your friends, and then try to put it out of your head:-)
