I have a really bad sore throat.

My glands are really swollen. Whenever I swallow I can feel them touch. I looked at them in the mirror and there are no white spots or anything.. so that means it isn’t a bacterial infection I think? But my uvula seems a bit swollen.
Other then my sore throat I feel fine. No headache, fatigue, weakness, or fever. I just have a sore throat and a dry cough every now and then. I have been feeling these symptoms for about 3 days. The sore throat has progressively gotten worse. But I don’t feel sick.
I have had strep before and this doesn’t feel like strep at all.
But anyways.. any ideas on what I could have? And also are there any vitamins or tips on how to get rid of the swelling and soreness?
Thanks in advance.

Get yourself some honey, a tsp every couple of hours.

Gargle warm salt water 2 or 3 times a day and take vitamin C.

Nope. If you have a virus you’ll have to ride it out. Vitamins? No, not unless you have an exceptionally poor diet. Ring your Doctor. But bed and paracetamol are probably the order of the day.

Place some salter in water, warm it up. Then place vinegar in it. Don’t drink it, gargle it for several minutes. That should help to clear up your throat.
I know another way to clear your throat, but it’s a bit disgusting. But vomiting can get rid of what’s in your throat. A few weeks ago I had a sore throat, I drank tea since nothing worked for me. I ended up vomiting the tea but afterwards my throat was perfectly fine!(I didn’t believe it when someone told me to try it)

Yeah… you should never make yourself vomit. That could very much dehydrate you, which actually could make you sick PLUS you would still have your sore throat, so… I don’t recommend doing it.
