Are you talking about birth control? If so, then yes, you are still protected. Ask your doctor or health dept if you have any questions. I’m not sure how to explain it but I know that they still work during that week.

wait what is the purpose of taking sugar pills, o are they if you are diabetic. (I’m sorry If I sound stupid I have a terrible case of insomnia which I swear is rotting my brain.)

the contraceptive pill, the sugar pills are for you to start you period, nothing to do with diabetics. lol.

You are protected in the sugar pill time, as long as you’re using it correctly the rest of the time. The purpose of the sugar pills, is to give your body a break from the hormones and to allow you to have your period and they keep you in the cycle so you remember to take the pill every day, otherwise they do nothing, you could not take them at all if you trusted yourself to remember to pick up again next week.
