Why doesn’t an exel file open when sent in a csv file format

from morsco system? Is it Firefox? It will open when going
through internet explorer.

the default opening program for the suffix should open it in either of the programs, (btw sometimes csv’s are saved as .txt)
To force it to open in Excel and to make it do so from now on
save the file somewher
right click on it
choose Open with..
then Choose Program…
Excel will be in the list, select it
Put a tick in the box that says Always use the selected program..
Click ok a couple of times
