I really wish I can post her picture here. Whoever see her innoucent, and knows all her story, will feel heart-breaking. It’s really unbearable for us, but we have to, have to strigle for her, even one day more for her life, we’ll never give up. I just hope there is any kind-hearted friend who knows about this disease can give us a little sugguestions if there is any medicine or any good way to save her life.

That’s a tough situation, and I’m sorry for any family that has to go through it. My prayers are with you and your family, and for the little angel waiting to come home to mommy and daddy.
That shook me up inside just reading it. My heartfelt sympathys go out to you and your family. And she will truly be in the hands of God so have faith in her because I will.

We’ll take her to a bigger hospital in the capital of this province. We don’t have any idea how it will be before her operation. We’re awake and dreaming in worries and her smiles.
You must keep strong, the baby will feel the strength and love you have for her and will be able to draw strength from those feelings.

If the doctor there refuse to take the operation for her, then we can do nothing, but wait. We don’t know what we’re waiting for. For her disappearance, or for the miracle. The best hope for her is the operation will be successful. Though she will get sequelas all her life, we’ll never give up her. We’ll give her more love and care, if only she is with us.
You will feel all alone when the opperation comes round but if you can let us know here when that is we can pray as a huge group of people. I am so sorry that all we can do in the mean time is pray for your niece and yourselves.

Wow… This is a hard thing to deal with. My prayers and thoughts are with you, your family, and this dear sweet baby. I have tears in my eyes. Your words brought back memories of when my first daughter was born. She had a problem with her heart and it was not beating when she was born and she wasn’t breathing. She had to stay in hospital for a while also. They feared brain damage had been done and that she would always have problems. The Lord blessed us though, you see, she is now 8 years old, in perfect health, and just yesterday I was required by her school to fill out paperwork for her to be screened for intellectual giftedness! She is an exceptional child and never ceases to amaze me. I call her my miracle baby. Keep faith in the Lord and don’t stop believing your baby will be ok. Miracles happen all the time. I will be praying for you and thank you for sharing your story with us. Please keep us updated on this.

4 years ago, i gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. when all mothers excitedly carry their babyies home in their arms after 3 days, my baby stayed in the hospital for the first 3 months of his life. just like your niece, she had congenital heart desease which is ASD—atrial septal defect. she had to be operated ASAP.
July 2005 before he reached 3 yrs old the family had to bond together and had to go through the same procedure u are going through now.the hardest part of it is when u had to give him to the doctor while is put to deep sleep. we were told the procedure would take 3 hours. but it was extended up to 6. u never know what i went through–a single mom. i have been brave all my life but that was the only day i was scared. with god’s grace the surgey went pretty well.
He will be turning 5 this year , so active and alive! i could feel the lump on my throat remembering those days when i had to ask myself if he’ll make it or not.but believe me, prayers helped. it indeed moves mountains.
i am silently praying for the baby and your family as u go through this journey. you’ll get through all of this. were here to back up on you.

I was been kept searching the related article about her illness last night. Now I accept it’s serious, but by seeing lots of successful examples, I feel more confident and affirmative. So that I can comfort and encourage all my family to face it optimistically. When I woke up from the dreams of the baby, the first thing I do is checking on line, it seems somewhere I can see the God there. I don’t know how to spend the time, except working, but my mind isn’t in my work the first time in my life. I’m waiting for Monday with anxiety and hope…

She will be taken to a big hopital in the province. The doctor there will look-over her again, and then we’ll get to know if the surgery is possible or not.
okay. the doctor will do a lot of checking. if the baby is too small sometimes it is not possible not until she can take the major surgery. the best thing that family members should ask is what is the percentage of the baby to make it. what are the possible side effects after the successful surgery. my baby after the surgery could not move his left hand. the doctor said that there was swelling on the right side of the head due to the medicine used during the surgery. when thesame thing will happen, the baby will go through therapy.
but the most important thing is that we know that the baby is going to be alright. this i pray.
One thing maybe you can’t believe that she was born 3KGS, but now after 3 months, she becomes only 4KGS…
My sister and her bf are still unmarried, you know, we have different culture from yours. they just told my parents until she has been in pregnancy for almost 5 months. My mom was worried there might be some congenital illness with the baby due to the carelessness during pregnancy. But consider to my sister’s health condition, and this is her first baby, so her bf insisit that they must keep the baby. Last Dec., her birth ended our suspenses. Her smiles dissolved all the unhappiness in the family. She is so adorable and vivacious.

Her daddy just told me her situation is stable today in the hospital. When her mom and grandma played with her, you will see naive smiles on her face.

The most worried and heartbroken one is her mom, this is the picture 3 days ago in the hospital. She is really a brave sensible baby. Though she feels uncomfortable, she never cries noisily often, except she really feels pain. Maybe she knows how her daddy and mommy are worried about her now, maybe she understands her mom’s tears.
I think that the baby will feel all the love and wormth that the mother and yourselves feel and that will help her to have much more strength. I also think that the baby will understand the tears, and will be able to fight better knowing that all that emotion is there for her to use.

Yes, baby should be proud of her daddy and mommy. She must know how much we all love her. We’re not rich family, but we possess the world’s most precious wealth that is A HEART FULL OF LOVE. We try our best to face the problem together.
Her daddy has been paid the expensive medical service out of his ability at present. But he told me he is not afraid of being on debt, all his wish is only the baby being fine. One life is enough long to pay off the amount.
He is right, what we lose is only money, but we will get all life happiness. Even we will spend the remaining years of life to pay the debt, but we’re happy,’cause all the family members are together. Nothing is frightening for us.

I’m sorry for the late updates. As these days I’m also busy with my own work, and also collecting money for the operation. Mao Mao is still in the hospital, but her health condition goes better than before. Hope after some time, she will be strong enough for the surgery.

Keep faith and hope, I was born with a congenital heart defect enlarged heart and shrunken artery, I almost died when I was 6 months old and am now 47 with two sons and two granddaughters and a daughter in law that I love like my own. Keep your faith and things will be okay, just love her lots and don’t make her any more disabled then she has to be she will grow up to be a fighter, hopefully. This made me cry too. Keep the faith!

i am so sorry to hear about your niece. when my daughter was born she was also born with major heart problems and we thought we were going to loose her. Thank the Lord there was a surgery out there to help her. She is now 5 years old and doing great after beating all the doctors odds. I feel your pain and will pray for your beautiful neice every day. I really don’t know what a stupid hospital, and stupid doctors. They can’t do anything to control the condition. From last night till now, baby can’t swollow anything, whatever she ate, all throw up. They can’t do anything to control it. And only advise my sister to give up. She was told the operation is very compalicated and dangerous. Lord, what should we do??!
Cant you get the doctors to operate any way? If Angel is going to die if she isn’t operated on, then it would seem the only option.

If it’s failed, then?!? Maybe without operation, she will stay with us longer… You know, we really tried, we’ve been tried out of our ablities. But we can’t bear it any more. She is suffering in the hospital. You know, The doctors there only gave her mood-stabilizing medication when she cried. She is only over 100 days…
I am at a loss as to what to advise, perhaps my thoughts are along the lines that. If Angel is going to die if she doesn’t have the opperation. Then she must be given that chance.
If she could servive without the opperation than that becomes a choice as well. Is there a chance that she has the same chances by not having the opperation?

We try, as if the life on the scalpel. If it’s failed, then our hearts also die; if it’s succeful, then she gets all life sequelas. Both choices is a Pointed knife that makes our hearts bleeding.
Then try to take our strength with you and do anything you can to get Angel this opperation. You know, for what it is worth that we here are with you all the way.

I would try and get some friends in your local town to put up some fliers and in the local shops and ask for some donations you would be surprised to find there are still people that will help just a thought when I go to local shops in my area there is always someone who needs help in this kind of situation and if people know you they will help I always try and help

Miur, i came uptown and i passed by this street near our block and saw this lil chapel full of people. i went there and thought of lighting some candles for some prayers. a priest asked me if i would want to sponsor the mass. some of my family members have passed a way for long time now and so i wrote Mao-Mao’s name on the paper. The mass was for her.
after the mass,i came to see and checked help.com. it came to me that the mass was going on while you were talking with Thepp.
It’s the only thing we could do for now. my prayers are with your family and to that lil angel who continues to touch our lives.

Please listen to what I am going to say. I think you should go back and tell those doctors that the family wants the operation done. The doctors told my grandfather that he wouldn’t live through his operation. That was over 6 years ago. The doctors also told my mom that my brother wouldn’t live past the age of 5. My brother just celebrated his 25th birthday in March. Doctors can be wrong. They also told my family that my gram would pass in a couple of days. That was 2 weeks ago!!! The doctor came in last night to tell us my gram can go home!!! Never underestamate the power of prayer and love. The three times the doctors told us people wouldn’t live, they were wrong becuase there were so many people praying and loving those people. Not only do you have you and your family praying for the baby, but you have your family on help.com praying for her to. And all of their families and friends praying for her. This baby is so loved and cherished by many!!! I say, go ahead with the surgery. If the doctors say she is going to die without or die during it. I think you should do it becasue she might just pull through. Please keep us updated.

Yes, I agree with hmf. This is the time to let go let God. The doctors will bring their skill, and the faithful will bring their prayers, but you must know that whatever happens now, it is not anyone’s fault. I was on line at that moment when I got the message the doctor was asking them to make the decision at once. But the website couldn’t open at that time, I think it’s really a test for us. At 12 a.m., I was told they want to give up,’cause she needs urgent surgery, and the extimated fees we need is twice we can get at present. I feel the contradictory at that time. But I was helpess, angry and worried… I sent they a message and ask, we can owe from the hospital, I believe they won’t put Mao Mao aside, will they? we can’t get enough money at present, can’t we pay them off in the future? I was really almost in despair, I just felt tears again (since I’ve been joined help.com, I never cried again, I tried my best to be brave, strong and optimistic). I don’t know how and when I fell in sleep. I just felt too tired…
The first thing I woke up is checking the message, in my deep heart, I always feel there must be a hope. They sent me messages and said they decided. The doctors will take operation on her early this morning, the first one today. Plz pray for her

I’m sorry for a late update. I was on a business trip for a week. MaoMao took a successful operation. Her health condition gets much better. Now a days, she can eat well, and sleep well. We only wait when she release from the pulmonary hypertension, then we can take her back home. She got thinner and weaker after operation. But she will return you a lovely smile when you talk to play with her. She must feel much better and easier now :) Thanks for your all cares and prayings.

Everything happens for a reason, and all the suffering you went through was paved through with a wonderful miricle. I’m sure that every day you will bless the lord for giving you another day with the precious baby, and letting her live when there was no hope left. This news is something very special to me. Your family and your self have been through what I think will be the worst problem you will ever have to encounter.
The stress and emotional upsets you have had to face have been huge, yet you all kept on going and never gave up. I admire all of you and I’m honoured to know you.
I have decided to move on and join a group of dedicated people, who help other people through their tough times. It envolves training.
I can take all of this with me and be glad that helping is a noble thing to do.

Oh my, I am so sorry. When I was a baby, I was born with pnemonia and Group B Strepp, and my mom had two before me that died. I know it is a tough time for you, but just think of all the happy days to come. I’ll be praying

Wow, I just came in on this one. How wonderful she is doing well. I have spent sometime in the nicu with my middle son. I know there are those who dont make it but Ive seen more miracles in there then Ive ever seen at one time in my life. Its amazing what they can do now. I will still keep her my prayers for a speedy recover? God blees her & the loving family who stands by her.
Precious little angels. Babies.
Even when they’re behind the glass with all those tubes I could swear they know us, smile at us and above all things, try to reassure us. Funny how we call them angels, as if a part of us can’t believe that something so wonderful could possibly be human; could in any way be remotely like us.
It’s hard to watch someone you love suffer in pain. Harder still when they are helpess. Terrifying when they have barely begun to live.
I’ve been down a similar road and nearly took a wrong turn. I strongly believe it was Hope who held my hand and guided me back. I found strength in God, in my friends and family, and I believed. Later, a while later, I brought my babies home. I was lucky.
I will pray for this little angel and I will pray for you and her parents. I pray that all of you are healthy and happy and that most of all you never stop believing.
