i feel like my life is pointless.

i am always behind in school, my friends all seem to be going against me, and the guy i like wants to be “friends. Adding to that my dance teacher always puts me at the back in performances. I know that sounds really kiddish but when you hope for a career in dance being in the front is important. can anyone help me???

Don’t give up on anything you want to do. After every bad moment happens and good one follows, so just wait for that moment to come. When it comes you will glad you didn’t give up. I hope your good moment will come soon so you don’t feel pointless.

hi, when i was a kid, i grew up loving arts more than my subjects in school. :-) and one time the school produced an annual play and i was excited to get the lead role. i knew i was good enough. i knew i could sing better than anyone else. but i was not able to get what i wanted.i was part of the production but i didnt get the role i was dying to have. i felt so down. but then i realized that it’s not in the winning that matters most. theres more than being a star. its actually enjoying what u do and accepting the fact that there are always better and lesser people than ourselves. so cheer up dear. it’s okay if u are not infront. enjoy learning everyday. it makes living all the more important.

Every young person feels that way at some point. The only advise I can give you, DO NOT GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS! Winner never quit and losers never start. Become TUFF MINDED and do NOT give up.

Could your position in the back have anything to do with your height?

silly, the teens are time of transition from child (I am the center of the universe and all are put here to service me) into adolescence (Maybe I am not the center of the universe and possibly I was put here to service others) and this transition can be very painful for those that resist losing all of their needs being met by everyone else. While in your teens you must keep in mind that you have not even lived 1/7th of your lfetime yet. Don’t you think it could possibly be premature to label your life pointless at this stage of the game?

Appreciate yourself. Do what you like as long as you don’t harm others in the process. If people don’t see the value in you it is their problem. Life is not pointless. The point in life is to make a difference, to help others, and in doing so find peace. It is an ongoing process with its highs and lows.

Wow, I think I just answered my own question lol

I am glad your dilemma is solved, sillypenguin.

“Appreciate yourself. Do what you like as long as you don’t harm others in the process. If people don’t see the value in you it is their problem. Life is not pointless. The point in life is to make a difference, to help others, and in doing so find peace. It is an ongoing process with its highs and lows.

Its highs being that it may last for a while, its lows being that it has no point. To find meaning in the meaningless is cowardice. “Making a difference” only lasts until a new difference is to be made.

Recognize, that in truth, in the end, everything dies. A difference does not matter, if there is nothing to make a difference for.

In short, though your moralistic and ethical view point is pleasant, it is merely your instinctual desires for self-preservation causing you to think as such. Do you think, by making a difference, you will be less likely to die? Do you think you can remove all biological truths from yourself, and resist such facts? A difference is kind, and gentle in the small scheme of today, but when tomorrow comes; do you really think that what you do now is anything less than following your instincts of survival?

Truth be told, as nihilistic as I can be, yes, your life is pointless, as life itself is pointless.

Advice? Take comfort in the fact that despite everything you do now, you, and everything else, will eventually die for no reason other than to die.

Enjoy dance, miss.
