Well said. I have been here for about two months I think. I came here just to vent about things going on in my life and the response I got was great. I never knew there so was many great people in the world. Lately I have seen posts about people wanting to ban others and I think its just wrong. Just because they don’t like someone or what someone has to say, they throw a tempertantrum and want to hurt us.

I agree with that Denny. Your a good friend to have partner.

Agreed with Denny. People of Help just put aside your differences and help! People just want help! I do not want to see any of my friends get banned in this ‘witch hunt’

I know what you mean, there are definitely some people who have a rather negative take and seem to want to hurt other people…

Personally I kind of like the fact that this is a free for all kind of website and hope that on most posts where I’ve had a say the good people have made up for the bad people…

A bit confused on what’s being suggested… Are you saying you do or don’t want to be able to ban people Denny?

Yes - surely the biggest point about this is to remember that the site’s aim is a simple one - a post gives an outline of a problem or request for assistance, then others should post to address that.

But many posts here seem not to follow this simple guideline and so threads spring up (like this one, maybe, even!) where the openning post is not so much a request for help as a demand or statement of opinion - and similar things happen in answering posts which can lead to a back and forth arguement that goes way beyond the original request for help.

Perhaps this is just the way of the world - I think the site has clear criteria to apply for banning though - and if the guidelines are adhered to surely no one would be banned.

Have I made sense? What was the question again! Hopefully I went some way to answer it or at least say where I stand.

I agree with you. People need to grow up and realize that not everyones opinion will match theirs

I think the good and helpful citezens should stay but the kids who come on here to post bs, lies, stuff to get attention/reactions should stay out of the way of the people who really need help. It gets annoying sometimes. IPOH you better not leave us you crazy nut! I like having you here!

OMG! Who is being banned now??? This is just getting f****** ridiculous!!! I am sick of censorship!!! Why can’t we say what we want to say without being afraid of being banned? Unless you are personally attacking someone with being racist, sexist, homophobic why can’t we express ourselves?

Swearing isn’t that bad unless you say it between every other word. They’re a way of expressing how someone feels. But i hate it when my friends get banned it sucks, but whats the point of banning people when they can get back in but with a different name.

Denny, I agree with you wholeheartedly! I would hate (really really hate) for any of my friends to leave help. I would much prefer I was the one being attacked. I..ahem…sometimes…**gives guilty grin** lose my temper, becuase my tolorance for fools is little and I easily loose what little I have..(hehe?) But, I am able to deal with them, and would wish for them to attack me instead. If you search for a post, and you put “hotsox”, or maybe “hotsox42″, you’ll see a few posts about me. I laughed it off, but it still bothered me, that some people might not be able to and therefore leave help.

Cajun, I have a right to curse if I want to. I live in a country where I am allowed to speak my mind. I am glad that you said that actually because you made my point for me.

Also, there have been a few instances lately of people I really like and respect being threatened with being banned for just saying things that others disagree with. Keep up with the news Cajun!

What are you even talking about? I responded to the “No one is banning anyone” remark that you made. I simply said that yes, people are being threatened with being banned, and someone was banned. That is why I was upset. Plus, I swear for emphasis, not because I “can’t get my point across any other way”. Why does it upset you so much that I swear?? You can’t even see the whole word for ***** sake!! ****!! (lol)

Also, what is with the name calling? I didn’t call you any names.

Also, please stop demeaning women by calling them names like “sweetie”, I really won’t put up with any form of sexism from you or any person. I can take your silly name calling, but being sexist is really taking things to a new level which I am sure none of the women appreciate either. I AM NOT YOUR SWEETIE!!

I must agree that there are may people on here who are just making stupid post lying about something for attiton o something of that mattr and it must be stopped

yes, I know! I’ve noticed that too. You come to Help to help other people, and give them advice on their problems, not CAUSE problems.
Hopefully, if we all form together on this, we can save it.
