I just recently purchased a Sony VAIO lap top.

Some of the buttons have quit working. the 2,4,0,r,y,u,[, to be exact. I put those in by using the on screen keyboad. I have tried re-installing the drivers, and a complete system restore and nothing has worked, Please help

Yeah, or order a new keyboard — you can usually just replace that component of the system. Be prepared to pay around 100$ for it.

Chuy - What rock did you just crawl out from under? Most keyboards are under $25. $9.99 for the el-cheapo at Best Buy.

I think he means a laptop keyboard. They’re a bit higher than desktop ones. But I don’t know for sure, soco may be right.

Yeah, the guys “lap top” keyboard broke ;) I had to replace one a few years back and got reamed for the 100$ — not being standard, and without much competition I doubt that price has changed too much.

I,with PCG-K25 is having the same problem and chennai (india)nobody in sony show room is interested.The standard reply is one has to wait months because it has to be shippedto Indi
