When you pray doy you actually believe that you will get what you are asking for? Because belief is key in prayer. Do you try to do things in your life to put you in a place to recieve what you have asked for? Because doing helps the prayer manifests. Is there a problem that keeps presenting itself to you? Because sometimes we must look at our life and try to figure out what we must learn before we can move on.

from what i can figure out from the bible the world is currently run by satan and that will stay the same untill armegeddon.
god cant help with physical things like “please god i want lots of money”
but can help with “please god give me the strength to get through tommorow”
but then i do have a limited knowledge of the bible

that means you gotta give up everything else…. which is hard

Think about what you can do to make your prayers come true. If you believe in prayer, it can be powerful, but God is not your servant. As others have stated, God’s plans for the world are very complicated, and as humans we don’t have the benefit of a clear overall view. But you have a responsibility to take action yourself to make your desires come true–also, don’t forget prayer is meant to be a humbling moment, not just a litany of desires. And no, God doesn’t hate you, although it may feel that way sometimes.

Have you thought about why you are not getting it. I know the right thing to say is to keep on praying but in real life you know **** well that never works. You have to go after what you are praying for and for it. Be determined to get it and dont give up. Thats my reply and if you think that me telling you to stop praying is bad then im sorry but its the truth

i remember the thing on the news about the trapped miners some place in america about half a year ago. there was some news that they had survived and all the families were hysterical saying”thank the lord its a miracle hes saved our son/father/husband” then later when they found out they were actually dead they were saying “i dont believe in god anymore”
i think that a lot of people have a messed up view of religion.
in fact i think most people do.
i think the best thing to do is not want for yourself as you will only be depressed when you dont get it. do stuff for others to make them smile and eventually you will too

Well, I don’t know about the power of prayers but if you pray every day non-stop, you just might get it. But a lot of money does not count. You will get something that you need, not want, so sorry but I don’t think that any of us who prayed for a lot of money will get it.

There are three reason I know of that God would not be answering your prayers:
1 - It’s not God’s will.
A lot of people quote the verse saying “If you ask anything in My name, it will be given to you.” and just add “in Jesus’ name” to the end of every prayer so it will “go through.” But that’s not what it means. Paul tells us that we are ambassadors for Christ - when we ask something “in His name,” that means we’re doing it to represent Him. If the result does not glorify God, then it’s not in His name.

Sometimes, the opposite of what we ask for glorifies God. If we aren’t grateful for what God’s already given us, then will be become more grateful when He continues to bless us? God might just be withholding what you want until you appreciate what you already have.

2 - Doubt.
James 1: “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from God - He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” This has been touched upon by everyone else.

Lastly,
3 - Unresolved Sin
“But your sin has hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.” I really don’t think this is the problem, though. This happens if you are convicted that something you’re doing is wrong and you harden your heart. From your post, it seems to me that you really do want to please God, so I would assume the cause is not unresolved sin.

God knows if it is best for you to get it or not. So if He thinks you deserve it or need it, he’ll help you the best that he can. But if He thinks that you dont deserve or dont need it, he’ll wont help you. I dont think that God is mad @ u or anything, well he is but all you have to do is to ask for forgivness and mean it too. lol! Me being as a christian has gone through this too but i soon learned it from my sunday school church. All you have to do is to understand.

when something good happans after they pray they acnolege it to god, but when nothing happans they just say god must have a plan, or its not important enough. Just like primative people and magic they praised the “sucsess” but ignored the misses
