It seems you have two choices.

The first is to take your time and let things work out, having patience with each other and finding out if a new relationship can work out for you. In it’s own time and pace.

The second is to rush into it and try to force it to work out. I think that doing this might cause mistakes and missunderstandings.

Be kind to yourselves and to each other and let your love grow at it’s own pace.

There should always be hope for success. I agree with the first two posts. Give it a try, but take things slowly. Be mindful of where you both are, in maturity, and in what you want out of the relationship. Start things over having discussed and lessened your old problems, so that they don’t resurface.
