too many labels for things that have always existed. sometimes i think labeling and diagnosing these things do more harm than good, because then instead of living, you are trying to cope with a condition, and for a lot of people the condition becomes another obsession, which is yet another disorder. If i beleived every diagnoses i have ever had, and ran with it, i would be in an insane asylum by now. if you met me, all you would notice is a slightly upbeat attitude, despite the depression, and manic depressive disorder, which i never even hear of anymore.
be good, and don’t let these things define you, they are just another part of you.
what did the doctor say they were going to do for you? What are you going to do for you?
Thank You;)
btw, i like your new avatar. and you can’t be too messed up, you always give good advice here.

please read this
for general info
Studies have shown that children and teenagers who take antidepressants (’mood elevators’) such as bupropion may be more likely to think about harming or killing themselves or to plan or try to do so than children who do not take antidepressants. Children younger than 18 years of age should not normally take bupropion. If your child’s doctor has prescribed bupropion for your child, you should watch his or her behavior very carefully, especially at the beginning of treatment and any time his or her dose is increased or decreased. Your child may develop serious symptoms very suddenly, so it is important to pay attention to his or her behavior every day. Call your child’s doctor right away if he or she experiences any of these symptoms: new or worsening depression; thinking about harming or killing him- or herself or planning or trying to do so; extreme worry; agitation; panic attacks; difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep; irritability; aggressive behavior; acting without thinking; severe restlessness; frenzied, abnormal excitement; or any other sudden or unusual changes in behavior.Your child’s doctor will want to see your child often while he or she is taking bupropion, especially at the beginning of his or her treatment .Your child’s doctor may also want to speak with you or your child by telephone from time to time. Be sure that your child keeps all appointments for office visits or telephone conversations with his or her doctor.Your child’s doctor or pharmacist will give you the manufacturer’s patient information sheet (Medication Guide) when your child begins treatment with bupropion. Read the information carefully and ask your child’s doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions. You also can obtain the Medication Guide from the FDA website: http://www.fda.gov/cder/drug/antidepr… to your child’s doctor about the risks of giving bupropion to your child
and this about side effects,
Gabapentin
SIDE EFFECTS: Neurontin has few side effects which include sleepiness, dizziness, unsteady gait, fatigue and eye twitching.
Lunesta
SIDE EFFECTS: Patients taking eszopiclone or any other sedative drug may develop dependence on the drug for sleep and experience withdrawal symptoms when the drug is discontinued. The most common side effects of eszopiclone are dizziness and loss of coordination
Bupropion
SIDE EFFECTS: The most commonly noted side effects associated with bupropion are agitation, dry mouth, insomnia, headache, nausea, constipation, and tremor. In some people, the agitation or insomnia is most marked shortly after starting therapy. Some patients may experience weight loss. Uncommonly, patients may experience manic episodes or hallucinations.
Clonazepam
SIDE EFFECTS: The most commonly noted side effects associated with clonazepam are sedation, which is reported in approximately 1 in 2 people (one-half of patients), dizziness (one-third of patients), weakness, and unsteadiness. Other side effects include a feeling of depression, loss of orientation, headache, and sleep disturbance.
Like all benzodiazepines, clonazepam can cause physical dependence. Suddenly stopping therapy after a few months of daily therapy may be associated with a feeling of loss of self-worth, agitation, and insomnia. If clonazepam is taken continuously for longer than a few months, stopping therapy suddenly may produce seizures, tremors, muscle cramping, vomiting, and/or sweating. Therefore, discontinuation usually is accomplished by tapering the dose.
Lithium
SIDE EFFECTS: The most common side effects that can occur in persons taking lithium are fine hand tremor, dry mouth, altered taste perception, weight gain, increased thirst, increased frequency of urination, mild nausea or vomiting, impotence, decreased libido, diarrhea, and kidney abnormalities.
The following side effects suggest that lithium blood levels may be too high, and that the dose of lithium may need to be reduced (after confirmation by measurement of lithium levels in blood): loss of appetite; visual impairment; tiredness; muscle weakness; muscle fasciculations (twitches); tremor; unsteady gait; confusion, seizure; arrhythmias; slurred speech; coma.
About 1 in every 25 persons who receives lithium develops a goiter (an enlarged thyroid gland). Hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormone levels) has been reported. Signs of hypothyroidism may include dry rough skin, hair loss, hoarseness, mania, mental depression, increased sensitivity to cold, and swelling of the feet, lower legs, and neck.
Ritalin, Ritalin SR, Ritalin LA
SIDE EFFECTS: The most common side effects with methylphenidate are nervousness, agitation, anxiety, and insomnia. Insomnia can be limited by taking the drug before noon. For children taking methylphenidate for ADHD, the most common side effects are loss of appetite, abdominal pain, weight loss, and sleep problems. The rate and severity of these side effects are less than that seen with dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine). Other side effects include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, palpitations, headache, involuntary movements, chest pain, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, and psychosis.
There have been rare reports of Tourette’s syndrome, a syndrome in which there are uncontrollable tics such as grimacing. Because of the potential for the side effects listed above, methylphenidate should be used with caution by patients who have relatives with Tourette’s syndrome or have the syndrome themselves or who have severe anxiety, seizures, psychosis, emotional instability, major depression, glaucoma, or motor tics. Sudden discontinuation of long-term methylphenidate therapy may unmask depression. Gradual withdrawal, under supervision, is recommended.
do you see that some of the meds can actually cause the problems you are trying to overcome?
Ok my turn…wow! so my medz r working aginst one a nother and a nother in a way?
Hmf, ok together wow im on a lot of medz….xoxox…
please try to consult another doctor. I know it is hard, but it is worth it. your physical health is also important. and i first learned that this happens from my mom, who was on 26 meds at the age of 51. she passed in nov, and i started doing research on the meds she was on. please try to follow up on this. you might be more normal than you think! :)
IM Really Trying. Im On 7 pills toinght, but i take medz all day 2 Me Thats Nothing..In The Pased Its Been 9 Or 10 We Have Tryed So Meany. That Now I’ll Try Anything.Nothing Is Helping Like It Sholud…..
some of these med have the side effect of causing mania, and depression. PLEASE find another doctor, PLEASE. the meds are what killed my mother. MY aunt is looking into a malpractice suit. Please, please. there are so many doctors in the world. how about a psychologists, they don’t prescribe meds as a rule?
In the U.S., both licensed psychiatrists and licensed psychologists hold a doctorate in their field. Psychiatrists are physicians who have earned an MD or a DO, whereas psychologists have earned a PhD, PsyD, or EdD. Psychiatrists generally spend shorter periods of contact time with clients/patients, and the principle method of treatment is psychopharmacology. Conversely, clinical psychologists generally rely upon psychological assessment and the use of psychotherapy to relieve psychological distress. It is not uncommon for people suffering from mental illness to combine these services to maximize their impact.
I Cant Just Stop My Medz…You Think Im Bad Now. When I Frist Came Here I Want Off My Medz Just Like That. I Droped Thats Not Good….xoxoxoxo…
i did not say to stop, as a matter of fact it is not good to just stop. I said you need to get a second and third opinion. did you really read the parts about the side effects? if not, please do.
not to cause panic, but my MOTHER died from overmedication. some of the prescribtions she was on conflicted with others. she had very low blood pressure, and some of the meds caused hypertension. so much so that she died when her heart ruptured. after consulting with other doctors, we discovered that most of the meds she took were not to treat her conditions, but to treat the side effects from her other meds. PLEASE.
Yes I Did Read What U Wrote. I Will Try Talking To A Nother D.r Its A Little Hard Over Here.My Loved Ones Dont Really Lisin To Me..I Try Trust Me…
