Hi

I have raised quite a lot of money through Angel investors. In the Uk there are a number of networks where you register your proposal (see LINCScot)and investors who are interested get back to you. There is usually a fee for joining these networks and investors expect you (generally) to be a legally set up company etc. If you’re doing this on your own as an individual it may be better to find a “high net worth” individual who is willing to give you a loan, rather than investment as investment requires legal work, a company which is a legal entity, shares, etc. Whereas really it sounds as though you just want to loan some money on a short term basis for a high return.

It is worth putting together a business plan - I think if the proposal is good and you have orders waiting for the the wine, a bank may be more open than you think if there is a plan in place. Investors are certainly not a great deal easier to get money out of and they always want a good return on funds they invest and usually a tax break for investing as well (hence the legal side).

It may also be worth considering a personal loan/credit card combo. $50,000 is not a huge amount of money and you may be able to raise that capital as personal loans which would be a lot easier, quicker and if you’re sure of the return on the money, low risk and a lot less work.
