computer help: ok I know the first is a rookie question but - Help.com

ok I know the first is a rookie question but

1, I have2 hdrives, the first is 97% full and the other is empty- how can I move files or programs to the empty one. the transfer wizard has only to do with 2 computer

2. I had a virus and not I can’t do system restore, it says I need a framedyn.dll but I have no idea how to install it
any help would be appreciated

1. I’m not sure of your set up, but it sounds like you could just move non-critical files (like not “Program Files” or “Windows”, but big folders in “My Documents” or all of “My Documents) by going to the folder, doing Edit->Cut (or Ctrl-X) then going to where you want it in the new hard drive and doing Edit->Paste (or Ctrl-V).

2. I would get the Windows Install Disc, reboot and there should be an option to “Repair” the system files.

before i transfer anything you should erase virus get a antivirus or hijackthis
you can download hijack this at merijn.org (programmer of hijack this) and get
regcleaner to clean your registry when you download hijack this do a system scan and save the log file and post it here or at merijn.org some one will help but do not delete anything if you dont know anything again dont delete good day
